Greddy Turbo Kit for BRZ/FRS is Around the Block

The T518Z based tuner turbo kit from Greddy is now available for preorder. Big gains from this simple kit: +93.5 whp / +68.7 ft/lbs increase at just 7 psi on a stock 2013 Scion FR-S with factory injectors and fuel pump (with an exhaust and ecu reflash). The kit includes the GReddy T518Z 10cm2 actuator turbo on an equal length 4-1 SUS header-type exhaust manifold with dual flex joints, SUS downpipe and cat-delete, free- flow Airinx AY-SB intake, short-routing intercooler piping, Type-40E front-mounted intercooler with cast end-tanks and all the necessary brackets, heat-shields, hoses, clamps, and gaskets.

Tomei Oil Thermostat Killer (fits Evo 7-9)
One of the seldom-weak points of 4G63 is rising of oil temperature. It is seen more often in circuit driving. Evo uses thermo switch that will work when the temperature gets around 85 degrees C. Yet when the oil temp is low, it will restrict oil flow to the oil cooler and raise the temperature of oil consequently. TOMEI oil thermo killer lets oil to flow into the oil cooler constantly regardless of its temperature. Still, it is easy to put it back to stock thermo switch in winter to prevent over cool. Regularly $95 shipped, blowing em out at $65 shipped

The AMS lower intecooler pipe is for intercoolers with stock style outlets on the intercooler (Turbo XS, AMS, ARC, etc.), and is fully mandrel bent, in stainless steel and comes with all required hardware.

Who Remembers These?

From the mid 90’s to about 2002 ish, these were the gauges to have. GReddy Electronic. They were pretty affordable, electronic, easy to read, and very reliable. I dug up a couple of these today at the shop, that we still have.

52mm Electronic Temperature – reads from 30C-150C (86F to 302F). Black face, lights up green. Great for oil temperature, transmission temperature, etc. New in the box, includes sensor, etc. Part # 16001008 – $50.00 gets it!

I’ve received a bunch of emails that we have great Z content but we ignore the G’s, so here is one for you G35 lovers.

This belongs to Army member Lance, who is stationed in Afghanistan right now. A great example of a well sorted, and ultra clean G35! I wish some 350Z owners would take note of how the G guys do things a bit better. While the Z guys seem to favor wilder bodykits, and less cohesiveness overall, I notice the G guys like to keep things relatively simple, and classy.

or as it is better known here in the U. S. of A. Interlagos Fire. Definitely one of my favorite colors for one of my favorite cars 🙂

This is a nice example of a PMM Z33 from Japan. As far as I can see this car has been fitted with Volk GTC wheels (classics!), Bride seats, a Voltex Type T Spoiler, Ings Type E Front Bumper, Trust/Greddy Sideskirts, a Kei Office Rear Bumper and an Amuse Exhaust.

Greddy 350Z Tuner Turbo Kits

Looks like Greddy has recently released a new and improved version of there already successful Twin Turbo Kit for the Nissan 350z. The previous kit was initially only designed for the the VQ35DE motor that came in 2003-2006 Z cars. This latest kit now has an application for the VQ35HR motors that come in the 07-08 models. They have also added additional things to the kit here and there and taken away some as well. I love that they have upgraded to 20g turbos from the 18gs that were in the older kits.

There is currently a promotion being ran with this kit. If you purchase any one of the new kits before October 31st, 2008 you will receive a free Greddy Ti-C Exhaust and a free case of GR-1 Full Synthetic Oil. Give us a shout if you would like to order one of these kits for your 350z.

We both agree that Greddy put together two great exhaust systems for their Spectrum Elite line so far and we hope that they continue on with this type of styling for the additional applications that they plan to service. As of now they currently only have systems for the ’09 STI and the EVO X.
