Stoptech has just announced their new big brake kits for the Subaru BRZ and Toyota FT86/Scion FRS. The first setup uses a pair of floating directional StopTech® AeroRotors® measuring either 328 X 28 mm or 355 X 32 mm, as well as billet aluminum mounting brackets with stainless steel studs, DOT-compliant stainless steel braided Teflon brake lines, StopTech’s highly-praised Street Performance brake pads, plus the company’s patented, forged, high performance, four-piston StopTech ST-40 calipers.

The rear StopTech® Big Brake Kit uses a pair of floating directional StopTech® AeroRotors® measuring 345 X 28 mm, as well as billet aluminum mounting brackets with stainless steel studs, DOT-compliant stainless steel braided Teflon brake lines, StopTech’s highly-praised Street Performance brake pads, plus the company’s patented, forged, high performance, two-piston StopTech® ST-22 calipers.

A few months ago I showed off a set of Stoptech brakes that were headed to a customer in Norway. Not long ago, Stewart contacted us again for some new wheels to really help set the package off. We shipped out a sweet set of gold OZ Superleggera’s with Advan’s mounted and balanced (along with a set of Rallyarmor flaps). Clean bugeyes are a bit rare nowadays, and this car has all bases covered nicely. The net result is a pretty slick machine. Next up according to Stewart – what else, more power! We look forward to working with you on it!

Norway Bound

We’ve got a good customer and friend in Norway who we’ve been sending goodies to for few years now. Stewart’s a Subaru nut, and given the history of rally events throughout his region, coupled with the climate, who can blame him!

His latest acquisition was this awesome bugeye. It came extensively modded from the previous owner, with a closed deck, built 2.5 liter engine, STi 6 speed transmission, APS DR725 FMIC, Custom exhaust, AST Competition coilovers, STI interior, Defi gauges and much more. We helped Stewart out a few months ago with a bunch of Whiteline goodies (adjustable sways and endlinks) + some Samco hoses.

This time around, we sent over “Operation Fun Pack” as Stewart termed it in an email to us 🙂

Stoptech 355x32mm front 4 piston caliper, 320mmx28mm 2 piston caliper – both with zinc coated rotors, plus some miscellaneous OEM parts he needed as well. Heavy hitting equipment that will nicely compliment an already well sorted car!

New Titanium Brake Shims!!!

We just had the first batch of titanium shims done and they are ready to go. It’s a relatively cheap piece of added insurance for those track guys out there who have been running into the issue of cooking their brakes.

The current applications available are for the Subaru STi, Subaru 4-pot calipers, Mitusbishi EVO, Hyundai  Genesis Coupe (track edition),  and the Nissan 350Z. Additional applications for aftermarket calipers such as the Stoptech ST-40, Stoptech ST-60 and Endless calipers are under development and will be released soon.

MSRP is $100 but we are working out package deals with fluid, pads and/or lines. Let us know if you are interested in a set and for combo pricing!

Drop Dead (Sexy) Drop Top

Rod (good customer and friend) stopped by with his immaculate Z33 Roadster a couple weeks ago to get some fresh seating. Out came the OEM, and in went the rare Bride Vorga Japan Limited Edition. Now we just need to convince him to do the other side!

One of the cleanest Z’s out there – understated, but nicely modded. Volks, Stoptech BBK, C West front lip, JP Sides…..just a clean example of a tastefully modded Z.
