COBB Tuning announces the immediate availability of the 3” FP Turbo Inlet Hose for the Mitsubishi EVO X. The COBB Tuning 3” FP Turbo Inlet Hose is designed for use with Forced Performance 3″ turbos. The bulge design of the COBB Inlet Hose increases the cross-section to 3.5” to maximize air flow delivered directly to your 3″ Forced Performance turbocharger, providing much more efficient power and response. The smooth inner walls of the COBB Turbo Inlet taper gradually at both ends and reduce the air turbulence that occurs in the factory accordion style inlet.

The COBB 3” FP Turbo Inlet Hose is constructed using four plies steel-reinforced silicone, eliminating the issue of hose collapse that other inlet pipes suffer while under suction at peak demand. While the steel reinforcement provides excellent stability, the silicone allows adequate torsional flex, allowing engine movement on the OEM engine mounts under hard acceleration without risk of separation.

Available in COBB Blue or Stealth Black, this system uses all factory fittings and clamps.

COBB Tuning announces the immediate availability of the COBB XLE BPV for turbocharged Subaru vehicles. The COBB XLE BPV is a compact and lightweight by-pass valve is capable of holding very high boost pressure without leaking and its unique design allows extremely fast venting of boost when actuated. It is designed to operate in multiple venting modes and can be quickly reconfigured using simple hand tools. Innovative engineering and precision manufacturing result in a compact package able to fit in the confines of a tight engine bay.

The XLE BPV supports three operating modes: full recirculation back into the intake tract, hybrid mode venting to the intake track and atmosphere and full atmospheric with all air vented to atmosphere. The spring preload adjuster
allows fine tuning of the pressure required to open the valve. Operating mode and spring preload are both adjustable using simple hand tools.

FEATURES


Body
• Body, mounting flange and secondary outlet cover are constructed of 6061 T6 aluminum.
• The body is hard anodized for additional strength.
• The primary outlet is rectangular in shape to provide maximum cross sectional area for venting pressurized air as quickly as possible.
• The secondary outlet cover can be removed to enable partial vent to atmosphere or full vent to atmosphere modes.
• Unit height is only 3.5 inches from base of flange to top preload adjuster,allowing it to fit into the tightest of locations.
• Body to mounting flange interface is o-ring sealed, allowing flanges of different shapes to work on multiple applications.

Piston
• Lightweight aluminum piston allows faster reaction time than heavier pistons.
• The piston has been hard anodized and impregnated with Teflon for smooth movement, reduced wear and minimized maintenance.
• Rounded piston profile smooths air flow as it passes through they cylinder.
• The rounded piston profile mates with a rounded piston seat for superior sealing when the BPV is closed.
• Tight tolerance o-rings seal the piston to the cylinder bore at normal engine operating temperatures without sacrificing piston speed.

Preload Adjuster and Spring
• Adjuster allows adjustment of spring preload for fine tuning release pressure.
• Spring and spring seat are constructed of 303 stainless steel.
• Spring preload adjustment mechanism and fasteners are stainless steel.

Operation
• Valve vents pressurized air very quickly due to lightweight components, port shape and low sliding friction.
• Unique exhaust sound due to speed of air release.
• Construction materials make the XLE BPV compatible with alcohol/water injection due to inherent corrosion resistance.
• Lighter than most aftermarket BPVs and BOVs.

COBB Tuning announces the immediate availability of the COBB Rear Adjustable Endlinks for the 08+ Subaru STI
and WRX. These endlinks are easily adjustable to remove all preload from the bar, provide consistent handling while
cornering in either direction and allow the freelength to be set according to driver preference. The spherical bearing
ends eliminate the compliance found in the stock endlinks, offering razor sharp response for both stock and aftermarket
swaybars.

These endlinks were designed and assembled in-house for optimal strength, performance and durability. Adjustment
is as easy as loosening the jamb nuts and turning the spindle to lengthen or shorten the endlink while installed on the
car. There is no need to unbolt either end of the endlink to adjust length.

The construction of these endlinks start with high-strength carbon-steel spherical bearing rod ends. They are treated
with a PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) self lubricating corrosion resistant coating which reduces maintenance while increasing bearing life. The CAD designed and CNC machined spindles are 6061-T6 aluminum and hard anodized
for a long lasting finish. All spacers are made of 303 stainless steel.

The COBB Rear Adjustable Endlinks are direct bolt-in replacement for the factory links. Supplies are very limited and once sold out, they will not be restocked. Sold as a pair.

So Kwame got off his lazy ass today and dropped his damaged, stock subframe. A brief encounter with a guardrail in the rain left this one with a fracture. Next up, swap the new one in, complete with the Whiteline and SPL bushings, as well as convert all the remaining rear rubber bushings to the Whiteline urethane ones as well. Rome wasn’t built in a day, this car sure as hell won’t be either (in fact it’s been exactly 1468 days since the car has been driven!)….but it will be worth it when it’s all done. There won’t be another Z33 out there as well balanced as this.

Kim Kardashian @ 2010 Bullrun Rally

So this morning was the start of the 2010 Bullrun rally. Last year Adam and I attended to show our support for our good friends over at Performance Outfitters Group but this year due to other obligations we were not able to make it. In any case I spoke to my buddy Dave who is the head installer over at P.O.G. to see how the event went and to grab some pics for the blog and he sent me both of the pics that he took.
